Third-party licenses

The code of Service-Overtchat is under the MIT license; its texts, its name and its visual identity are reserved (LICENSE file in the repository). It also relies on components written by others, each of which keeps its own license. Here they are.

1. Served to your browser

These libraries are hosted by the website itself and sent to your browser; they also ship in the website archive (/dl/site), with their license file.

3. Installed by the installer

The installer distributes none of these components: it downloads them from their publisher and builds them on the operator’s machine. Each one stays under its own license, whose text comes with its sources.

4. Server-side moderation

The image and voice moderation services run on the server; their Python packages are installed from PyPI by the installer, in a PINNED version — the one running and tested on this server (Tools/moderation-setup.sh) —, and are not redistributed by this website.

5. Launcher and OverScript

The desktop applications are built on Electron (MIT), which bundles Chromium (multiple licenses) and FFmpeg (LGPL-2.1). Their notices ship in each package, next to the executable: LICENSE.electron.txt and LICENSES.chromium.html.
